She doesn't have much energy, and still needs to avail herself of oxygen most days for an hour or so - but is very positive all the same.
The oncologist says that they appear to have temporarily halted the cancer's progress. It hasn't shrunk, and will not go away, but a delay in its evil progress is only to be welcomed
That is encouraging news about your sister. The Doctor must be happy to allow the chest drain to be removed and it should make a big difference for your sister in not having to carry it around. Lets hope she is a candidate for radiation. It makes it easier that your sister is keeping positive.

In answer to your question Rod, the parking in Bristol is off road communal, but we will have a designated parking space. We are not far from the M4 and I won't have to worry about the London emissions restrictions anymore and having to get rid of the old V6.

It must be a nightmare packing up & moving to a new house, I don't envy you at all. I couldn't imagine shifting all the stuff we've accumulated over the years.

I keep taking stuff that finds it's way into the garage to the tip on the quiet because it will never get used again. so far she's never asked where such & such is.
Not bending down to be able to put your socks on certainly is a pain and an inconvenience Ian. I had that in hospital after my operation, seeing the nurses go down on their knees at the side of the bed to get me dressed, made me feel a bit helpless, but it was a diversion and sometimes that is how it is. Hopefully this problem you are having with bending, will be short lived

Evening all (Dixon again).
Not stopped raining all day.
They say it might be frosty in the morning ,that could be fun.

Relatively dry here today thankfully. Not that it makes much difference when I am at work.

We shall see what icy troubles there are in 15 hours....

I know that some of the items will have come from grand parents or aunts & uncles houses after they passed and my parents will have just kept them, "just in case" kind of thing.

The biggest problem with the move was after we moved into my parent's place my other half completely lost interest in the old house, she never went back there again. I had to do everything, shuttling back and forward the couple of miles to clear out the stuff that was left, redecorating in prep for the sale etc, myself. That's how I damaged my shoulder, I twisted it in an awkward way trying to get stuff out of the loft, shoulder still bothers me now years later if I'm not careful what I do. I had steroid injections, physio, at one point they were talking about surgery but it didn't come to that.

Evening V-man, Thank you Sir my back is getting better by the day. Sorry there's no leftovers again This 'meatballs Al Forno' is another Aldi favourite that is excellent, It comes in a balsa wood box that you just bung in the oven. had it with garlic bread & I'm fair ready for bursting

Does the box not burn

I think after this week I don't want any more burning smells around the house.

Surprisingly not, it comes out of the oven unscathed
