So, are the buyers the couple expecting twins? If so maybe it is fate that your home will be the home of a fellow car enthusiast.

Never been to Cornwall, but have holidayed in the south west a good many times and have found the scenery stunning and locals welcoming.
Mrs Ahmed is buying the flat, and expecting the twins, along with her Boyfriend.
They are BMW owners, well nobody is perfect.

Come to Cornwall then, nothing to stop you. If needed I'll chuck a pasty under your wheels to slow you down.

Cool A very emotional day, but...................

............................................... We are here in Saltash.

The removal company turned up on time. The guys were fantastic and they had the flat cleared and the truck loaded in just under 4 hours. And they had two tea breaks. My very good friend Emma, Emm's who makes the cushions, came over early. As the chaps cleared each room she was in dusting, vacuuming and steam cleaning the floor.

I was just going to take the personal stuff with me, well that did not quiet go to plan and the Bear ended up fully loaded with everything possible. We got a 2nd vacuum cleaner in along with mugs and the kettle plus a quilt with matching pillows. Most of the Bears oils, filters and brake pipes went in. Her spare brake disc's went into the truck.

The weather stayed dry right up till the last potted plant went into the truck then it started to rain not much.
With the truck loaded and the crew off on their separate ways. Craig the driver was bringing the truck down. The two porters were returning to the depot in there little van.
And it was goodbye's to Emma, she cried. But we then had a good laugh, especially when a bus went past and I shouted out, "Goodbye bus".

Allen & Val collected the keys for me today and the paperwork.
So this evening we went up to the house and emptied the contents of the Bear into my new home. Think we woke the neighbour's up with the arrival of the Bear.
With the car unloaded, Allen turned the water on and got the boiler fired up. Plus Allen showed me how the gas cooker worked.
As we left I collected all my re-directed post.

No going back now....................

Glad you had a safe trip down Bob.

Seems you picked a good removals firm, did you read all the reviews they have on Which? Trusted Traders before you decided to go with them?

I went solely on a friend's recommendation. I will happily recommend them to anyone. And I've met the owner along the way.

Good morning Phil, today seems to be like any other day when I'm on my Hollie wollies. Nice sleep and sitting here with a cuppa whilst Allen cooks breakfast. Still has not really sunk in yet.

It seemed strange leaving the flat yesterday, felt like it was a dream. I have never seen the place empty. The only time a room had nothing in it was when it was being decorated. All a bit of a haze till I get settled in today, then I expect it will all then sink in being surrounded by all of my things rather than other people's stuff.

Hope you and Jessica are well.

Good for you, Bob. Cornwall is a lovely part of the world.
We're still in the house l grew up in & for me it would be strange to leave it l can imagine, but perhaps one day.
All the best to you down there.

Sounds familiar, been in same on since I was 2 years old or so and that was the very early 70's.

Some days when next door neighbour's kids are causing chaos and noise I think I'd like to move, but then it goes quiet and the feeling subsides.
