Its quite possible that XPart have shifted supplier recently... who knows. As far as I'm concerned (In my case only I must add) if the original parts were good for 100k, I have no issue with this. In addition, using OE parts I fitted and forgot, literally... whereas others I know, had no end of messing around with different brands of components. Second one I did was all AP parts again, aside from the XPart supplied Borg&Beck friction plate and pressure plate. No doubt ill have to do another clutch soon, as the one I drive right now is on 72k, but fingers crossed it gets to 100k before it dies. |

LOL no thanks. Copper brake pipe is a total bodge for me, plus it can rattle against things, and its not secured by any of the original clips that hold the OE one. Looks tragic.
Futhermore, the copper pipe seems to transmit more diesel engine noise/or gearbox chatter/noise to the inside of the cabin and your foot. Having experienced one, Id never fit it to my car. Now if they had done a Tazu Mk2 that actually worked, and made it so you could swap the OE pipe onto the end, that would have been a 100% winner! |

It was not in my previous experience, but things may have changed on the Xpart supply side...
I hope not too! I must be one of the few who was totally happy with the OE parts in the end, never had any hassle at all! Although now Ive said that, famous last words, my clutch will go tomorrow |

During my considerable amount of various ZT clutch component failures, the net result is as follows.....
Fit a MK1 Tazu Master, Fit the Metal slave cylinder and Borg n Beck clutch kit from DMGRS. That is all!

Well I replaced my ailing master cylinder today - after doing the quick release test. Sure enough it showed the pedal slowly sinking, so at least it was a confirmed mc fault.
Removing the item can best be described as a contortionists dream, it all has to happen under the dashboard, since getting at the pipe behind the v6 is rather difficult. That said, getting the roll pin out of the end of the cylinder proved difficult - in the end I modified a minin balljoint seperator by inserting a pin into the bolt to push the rollpin out. I also removed the clutch pedal to get more room. The replacement cylinder was robbed from my daughters turbo, it was full of dark coloured goo, so probably won't last long. I washed it, flushed it, filled it and fitted it, no bleeding, nothing. Worked fine straight off Will be looking for an AP replacement, not interested in copper pipe wars behind the v6... |

Regrettably, I had to sell the car, but I keep in touch with the owner and all clutch components are still going strong, with a nice light clutch pedal.
