MG3 Service light
Hi.
Emma's MG3 is to be serviced by an independent using genuine SAIC parts. So far there is no service light on but the dealer said there is a charge for putting it off and not cheaply. Anyone know if generic service light reset tools work on this or if there is an alternative to T5? Perhaps TOAFT5

You can reset it through the computer on the end of the indicator stalk easily.
Have you checked out the prices of having it serviced at a MG dealer, its very reasonable. First service on a 3 is less than £100 |

Thanks Tim for your help.
My daughter's "3" is now two years old and the service was to be nearly three times the figure. The independent that was recommended was very professional, local and cheaper, all I had to do was to supply genuine parts including the recommended oil from the dealer to ensure the warranty was valid. I also wonder if the dealer would have alerted us about the rust issues.

Sorry to dig up an old thread but do you know how to reset the indicator? I was wondering if the 75/ZT reset tool would work? |
