sounds like we,re having the same problem as you had, and will probably never find out what caused it, just hope the car keeps running, instead of cutting out

Except mine only fired, briefly, with heroin for cars

At the moment she's running fine, after all the mods getting about 48.6 mpg on a commute mileage.

The cure is out there..... just a question of finding it. Then there's always Stocktake's remedy..

You know, what Derek said isn't a bad idea, if the cat has collapsed/blocked or something that would stop it running if it were totally blocked.

Tried the fuel rail pressure sensor this afternoon no joy I'm afraid.
Not enough time to strip down both cars to swap H.P. regulators today due to the difficult access.
Fuel pump relay is working as it should, with the pumps both running for just less than 1 minute before shutting down as per book.

I live about 40 miles away from Tim so that compilicates things a bit.

The thing is it's so tantalisingly close to running, yet so far, all for the sake of what could be a very simple diagnostic test to determine the cause. (if Rover hadn't decided to make life so difficult for us all by restricting us to having to use Testbook .)

When I had my "problem", one of the garages had access to a T4, just not someone who could use it!!!
