Default has anyone decatted with existing rear box?

just trying to work out what to do with my exhaust. I think I can now hear a tinkling occasionally so I'm going to convince myself that its the Cat thats going to need changing... or upgrading

Has anyone done the decat without a new free-er rear box, and if so was it worthwhile?

This will have the advantage of less noise than a free flowing box with a decat. My Sebring box isn't straight through but is quite loud when revved, especially on full throttle, though only a little louder at constant speed.

So I would try a decat first. It will improve the throttle response.

i had my cat cut out while i waited for a new 1 to be fitted there was more power and less accelaration roar on a 2.0 cdt and fuel economy went up to around 45 to gallon around town so had free flow cat installed instead of standard still getting same but a bit noisier on full throttle accelaration
