V I S Motors how long do they last
Hi only me again. Couple of questions.1st.I my zt has only done 28000 miles has full mgr sevice history. Is there any relation to milage and v i s failier? 2 Does any one use super unleaded. If so have you seen any difference in the cars performance/economy/smoothness. As i have been told that i would see improvements of the afore mentioned. cheers all keep up the good work great site great people and great cars all we need now is an online pub and we ll be well away.

I use super unleaded. I find it gives a little more power and efficiency. Although it's been so long since I've used regular I don't think I notice... Unless I were to switch back.
I think the VIS motors can potentially die without warning on mid-higher milage cars. My car had done 90k before they fell apart. Almost the same time as the fan motor (within a year). Seems as your ZT's done only 28000 I think it would be unusual for the VIS motors to blow at such a young age.

We fitted one a couple of weeks back and lasted a whole ten minutes so I guess their life span can be very very short to reasonble. Our ZS lasted 5 years before they packed up.
