Rover 75 diesel oil leak
Iam having problem with my car as follows:-
Turbo charger oil seal is failing oil trickling from pipe to inlet of intercooler, but also oil is coming out of the dip stick at pressure through hole in stem near top, would these items be related or seperate issues and is the dip stick problem retated to a failed crankcase oil seal (no oil leaking visably from seal) Many Thanks in advance |

They'd be 2 separate problems. I must say though, I've never heard of any of those two problems, they're not common-place on the BMW M47R engine. What mileage have you done and what oil do you use?

Sounds a lot like my problem not long after I bought my CDT, A seal leaks on the intercooler doesn't cost a lot but it is a bumper off job.
The other was lots of smoke when lifting off the throttle and smoke out of the dipstick cured by very thoroughly cleaning EGR valve and PCV valve I went from pricing a new engine to no smoke in about 2 hours work Do a search Try a search for Rover Ron's site http://45zs.info/75Zt/R75home.htm my leak was on the left hand side at the front.......

The oil is what ever the old rover dealer ship use , the car has cover 90000 miles.
looking at previous posting it might be something to do with the emmission control breather pipes, were ever they are. |
