Default fast flickering side lights

My front and rear side lights pulsate at fast rate to notice it you have to be within a metre and look carefully at them, my first two thoughts are either earth or relay any suggestions as I have no problems with any other lights or electrics

Sounds like you have non-canbus LEDs fitted. (??)
Do you have a blown bulb warning?

Normally you would only see that fault, if non canbus LED's are fitted.

If they are LED's, yes you would have to change all 4. For either canbus friendly ones, or standard auto bulbs. The canbus is looking for a minimum load of 120 ohms across it, if it detects no load the lights will flicker.

Your car has a canbus system in which if a light fails it alter the current over the circuit, or some such so if a bulb fails the relevant faulty bulb is messaged on the dash display so you know which one to replace.

A lot of people buy led bulbs as they last longer less likely to blow etc, however if these are not rated properly for a can bus system it throws the system out as an led has a lower current draw so you get a fault such as indicators flashing too fast.

Its often indicators that are the first bulbs replaced, then tail and side lights.

Its like when led indicators are fitted to motorbikes they often have to have a relay to inhibit lower the current going to the bulbs other wise they flash too fast as they need less current than the standard bulbs.

Perhaps try simply changing them for some simple cheap glass bulbs and see if that solves it.
