Read here a long time ago it's 1mm for a 75 and 0.7mm for a ZT.

Well , it's a quiet night so I just had a look on the Rave manual
Says 1.0mm for both the 75 and the ZT models

Gave slightly duff info, found the thread, it actually refers to the 1.8, 1mm for NA, 0.75mm for the turbo and it was Brian who said it.

On a similar subject I had a Mondeo that had a misfire, did everything and put it on a garages scanner etc they said it was the ecu. Changed that and coils and plugs you name it and was still there under load. Turned out the temp sender was duff and when the car was cold it wasn't giving more fuel and when hot it was overfueling. Every forum I looked on was saying change the fuel pump etc but got there in the end and 4 years on the car is still going strong.

We've always set the 1.8 to 0.7mm
0.5mm reduces the spark size too much and hence the power.

All KV6's run well @ 1mm

Needs to be a smaller gap on the 1.8T because the are pressure from the turbo blows the spark out. That's also why the zt is rated differently from the 75 (different maps). Recommended is normally 0.5 to 0.6mm, especially if you've visited kmaps.
