I think this is spot on and well done. Now if we could get the original instrument to register this it would be even better.

Generally I think we have to start decoding all the computer nonsense in these cars, so that in the future we can keep them running and adjusted when the support structure falls away.
We should thus put an effort in, to getting the testbook programme made available with correct connectors to attach a lap top computer to our cars to maintain the vehicles independently.
I for one would be in the market for this!

I suspect Xpart holds the Copyrights to the T4 software. If so, the possibility of a public distribution for our laptops is slightly below Zero I'd say. It's great idea in principle. We need a software wiz to write something similar for the club.

Probably. I was thinking of some custom software for the 75/ZT range specially written for illiterates like me.

If the idea is to prevent overheating I would suggest a minor addendum to that device: A very audible alarm that goes off if there is "suspicious" temperature activity. The human mind is depressingly likely to ignore a silently increasing LED readout.

Thanks everyone for your positive and enthusiastic response.
I am working on a solution to offer this gadget to forum members at the most reasonable cost I possibly can.
I am designing printed circuit boards to be manufactured by professional third party.
I will aim at 40pcs wanted total and base the cost on that.
Suggestions for further enhancements are welcomed.
An audible alarm but at what temperature?

Will keep you posted.
