I bought one of these a few years ago when I first got a 1.8 for my other half.

I fitted it into the space above her harmony radio and later transferred it to a symphony (where the nav buttons would be if fitted). It has worked well over the last three years and whenever I have checked it against the temperature on the ipk it has been within a degree.
I fitted the probe to the inlet pipe to the heater with a couple of zip ties and then zip tied some foam pipe lagging over the probe and pipe.
The pipe is accessible behind the carpet trim on the left hand side of the drivers foot well.
An easy mod and it works great for just over a tenner.

Another thumbs up from me for torque pro as well. Its a brilliant app for very little.
