Default I hope this happens...

A friend of mine owns an engineering firm that develop parts for race cars and street cars,I was recently talking to him about getting more power from my stock kv6,apart from stainless cat back n cold air intake.
I dunno what he was smoking when he suggested this but he wants to develop a turbo system...possible a twin turbo system for the car...
Sure there's alot of work involved and the engine would be completely tore down n everything upgraded but he said it's possible to do with abit of research on parts etc...he's got all the fabrication equipment etc so watch this space,he said the problem would be it'd need a complete different ecu if not a piggyback unit..
Anybody else think this would be a cool idea with 500whp+ to play with...I do.

500whp will never ever happen in a kv6, not for very long anyway, hope he's developing a new gearbox too

Been mentioned before but the KV6 isn’t the strongest unit going. Good luck but it would be much cheaper to drop a different engine in. Maybe a Volvo 2.5 T engine etc which is easily tunable and there are hundreds of suppliers for parts and mods and specialists.
Don’t let me put you off but any engine can be developed and tuned but it’s the gains for £££s that is the bottom line.

My 190 V6 goes fast enough thank you very much. If i wanted to lose my license I'd have plenty of old fast cars to choose from from what it would cost to bump a KV6 up to 300hp+

I mean all power to them and I hope they succeed, the undertaking is absolutely massive, there is a supercharged kv6 in a zs going around with low comp pistons and iron liners doing 300 at the crank. After that you're into crazy territory.

If he can make a forged crank though that would be amazing.

There were supercharged KV6s in Australia (ZT220) but I believe most of them went bang!
