Default keys

Second key wont work on rover ive just purchased. Have put new battery in, followed instructions in handbook but no good. Anyone got any ideas ?

Doesn't operate the central locking?

Unhappy keys

Hi brian. Spare key wont open car or start it. It does look the same as the other one , but im wondering if there is a slight difference ?

according to the rover manual when a new battery is fitted you supposed to press either button 4 times quickly to re host the key to the car , or it may be the keys chip thats not picking up the ews immobiliser thats located down in the pillar drivers side ..or is there any chip in the key ?rgds mark

Does the key physically turn the lock? if it does, there is a possibility that

1 It's been lost at some point and disabled.

2 it's just a shell with no transponder and either a non functional remote, or a mismatched remote.

PM me a contact number, and we can see if this can be sorted out for you

Question keys

Well done brian.that little chip is missing on other key. All the other stuff is there, just that chip missing. Who do i get in touch with to get a replacement ?

Remove your number mate before you start getting unwanted calls
