Leak back line T pieces - diesel
I'm sure I read somewhere on here that you can get metal T pieces to replace the weak plastic ones. Does anyone know where from, I can't seem to find the reference.
Reason I ask is that I went to change my PCV filter today but couldn't get the housing off because the line was in the way but I didn't want to start taking it apart in case I broke one of the T pieces. Any help or advice appreciated.

Steve no problem at all glad I helped, straight forward to change over if you want I can add the how to, on this thread later as I did it for the FL1 but engine layout is much the same with regards to the leak back hose pipe, joints.

Hello Arctic
Had a medium disaster yesterday. I was changing the pcv filter and (easily) managed to snap one of the T pieces on the leak back hose. In order to get the remains of the T piece out of the top of the injector does the securing clip just pull off or do you have to push it?
Will hopefully get some brass T pieces and an end piece from United Diesel early this week. Also do you happen to know the hose diameter please as I may as well replace this also, it is probably the age of the car. Year 2000. Look forward to your reply. Many thanks. Pete. |

The clips just pull off Peter, they're just shaped to slot into the groove and hold on a detent.
You can get a kit on eBay too, with the t pieces and hose of the correct diameter. I think it was United Diesel I got my kit from via eBay.

Many Thanks
Hello Steve
Many thanks for that, I will have a looky on Ebay. After 16 years the T pieces really are very fragile so brass ones should last the rest of the car's life. It was certainly worth checking out the filter, mine resembled a piece of house brick only more dense! Fortunately I am on holiday, (at home,) at the moment so I can live without the car for a few days. Just hope I don't break anything else! Thanks again. Pete. |
