Default "Bonnet Open"

Happily driving along; turned a sharp right, and Bonnet Open warning came on.
Pulled over, opened and reshut - still on. Tried again, gently this time but won't go off.
Remember reading something about glueing a coin over the sensor??????
Advice appreciated.

You can put a little spacer/pad on the bonnet, and check the bonnet is sitting down correctly by adjusting the rubber stops.

Other possibility is water in the switch

spray the switch with some WD-40 and work the switch a few times and see if it goes out then

Dont take the cover off....

You'll need to whip the grill off and squeeze the two lugs on the switch

Pop it out, refit the boot and pop back in

The damp gets into the connector end, not the plunger end
