It's a beautiful hot sunny day here, I've just had a shower & noticed I'm sun burnt My Lancashire skin cant take this 22C heatwave weather

Having chicken paella for tea, one of those Ainsley Harriott paella mixes, tastes proper good if I say so myself.

Cool

Traffic is backed up at the end of the Lane. Using it as a cut through to avoid the roundabout at Saltash services. Funny watching cars diving down our Lane to cut through only to find it's a no through road. Quite a few motor homes trying to turn round, one had a huge speedboat on a trailer. Oh! He did get in a muddle, not helped when his wife got out to guide him back.

Still I managed to get both Redfive and the Bear cleaned. Sparkling in the sunshine.

Chunk of steak for dinner with mash n peas.

Evening everyone, beautiful warm evening here.

Nice job on the fence job Sir, I've got the same thing to look forward to tomorrow with staining the decking.

I'm on train sim duty tonight, A Class 158 (Sprinter) on the Manchester Trafford park football run.

My apologies for ducking out. Thank you Rod and Ian for asking after me. Thank you Jeff ..... Thank you Roy The shingles and the treatment sometimes blurs the eyesight but I am revisiting old photos for editing and have been taking sone photos in the garden using the flip out screen. I hope they come out okay
Sometimes the eyes are good and sometimes they are not. Never thought I’d get shingles

I have not been on the OC much because of the virus getting inside the eyes. The pain is not always there but when it is, it is like someone hammering an ice pick from the eyes into the back of the skull. I am on powerful tablets to deaden the nerves.

My last treatment of the day is midnight. I flush the eyes out with sterile water using a big syringe .....insert 3 eye drops of steroids and antibiotics into the eyes.....Wait 15 minutes, then rub optical antiviral ointment to the underneath the eye lids. This blurs everything up whilst the medication is fighting the virus. I have to do this every 6 hours every night and day.

I have an appointment next Wednesday at the hospital to see the consultant about the treatment and to get more analgesics. On Thursday I am seeing the eye specialist. I have been doing everything, they have told me to do. I hope he has good news.....The past 3 nights I managed to get about 6 hours of unbroken sleep and the itching of the skin has stopped. I think that is progress and the peripheral vision is improving. When it was bad, the vision was going black, but now it is only spotty/streaking black colours when seen against a white background such as the loo basin. I think it’s a good sign and the left eye is almost clear
