If you are using the centre front jacking point then you can lift the car an inch or two quite easily so the jack slips under the metal hoop.

I get things started with a scissor jack then when the sill is high enough use a proper jack with a length of 2x2 on it. I then put a pair of bricks under each wheel, then jack it from there until it's high enough for the axle stands

I didn't find the rattle on the gearbox end of my V6 when it's hot.
Mind you I am waiting for the poly bushings for the lower engine mount to arrive as that may do the trick. There really isn't much rattle-prone stuff at that end of the engine so if the mount doesn't do the trick it may be exhaust related. I'll check that out when I am underneath with the undertray off on the weekend.

More didn'ts:
The poly bushings didn't arrive and...…
Amazon doesn't have the Bluetooth adapter I want on sale for prime day.

Reversing my mother's clio back to let my niece out, the brakes had been mysteriously replaced by sponges. Good sponges, as it stopped with my foot near the bulkhead, but sponges nonetheless.

So being off today, I got a couple of bottles of fluid to flush through, and hoped it wasnt anything more serious.

I think it needed to be done!!

After seeing rads with jacks in the middle of them, I don't trust that point, so always use ramps (with run up assist planks) when I can. If I have to use the CJP I am VERY careful and use a non slip jack top.

Chose today to change Mo's rear lights for the ones slightly tinged pink.
Discovered someone has stuck Mo's lights with mastic, same as Kims.
Put the nuts back on and didn't change them today.
I'll psych myself up to assault them another day
