Changed offside strut, both fronts now done, then gave her a good clean inside n out. Time for a rest.

How did you get on doing the nut that holds the strut on the hub?

Got the car back from having a new water pump fitted along with cam belt and timing belt covers and an oil change. Hope it's all good now for another 75000 miles.

It looks like I might have some room available for Mo's seats soon, so today I have unfastened her seat rail bolts, removed the battery, and put the real wood veneer small vent and airbag cover on

Fitted nice clean new filter then try as I may could not seem to align the ECU back into its dual slot bracket. After much cursing and some cuts to back of my forearm and hand all of a sudden it just slotted straight back down in. Whilst ECU and filter was out I cleared the plenum drain hole as it had some leaves and bits at the bottom of the pipe. Nice dry plenum chamber and dry filter as I do have the plenum mod on my top panel. After the pollen filter was done I decided to polish up my headlight lenses as they looked a little dull. I have found using Autosol chrome/metal polish cuts through the haze, a quick polish with clean cloth and a spray of Silicone dressing and clear headlights again. Also ran the car until up to temperature and fired up the AC, still seems to be nice and cold and with the new filter smells much fresher. Happy days.
I've bought a new cheap filter to fit on my Tourer - did not know that you have to detach the ECU to fit it? Seems a bit odd...?

There isn't much room so removing the ecu gives you a fighting chance of changing the filter

Fitted Willy with some new mats, old drivers rubber mat had a big hole and others were very grubby.

Bit worried when I took them out of the wrapper as they looked a bit grey but got them in the car and they're fine. Actual match colour looks far better in real life than the attached mobile photos, overall very pleased and makes Willy look a whole lot smarter.

Bargain £12 from eBay, quick delivery and they fit a treat, can't go wrong for the money.

Wired a 3.5mm audio socket into my radio (VDO CD413X). I just got fed up of trying to use those fm transmitter gadgets. I tried a few. I paid quite a lot for the last one but always had interference. You just can't beat a hardwired connection.

Drove Kim to Corby to help bikerdude666 with some problem bolts. In the end I got one out and he hammered a socket onto the other two and got those out.
Now he needs new bolts before putting the new backplate on.
