Default Blinker (indicator) fault

Hi Folks

I have a 2004 Rover 75 2.5L V6 CONNOISSEUR. The warning light says there is a fault with the RHS front and rear blinkers. The only problem is the 2 bulbs are working, as well as the side indicator. The speed of the flashing on RHS is faster than the LHS.
I have changed the bulbs in case there was weird thing happening.
Any suggestions????????????????????

Regards

Hi & welcome, fast speed flashing means a bulb failure on that side. Just try changing RHS bulbs.

I had the same problem in the right indicator. I've change the bulb and the indicator didn't work sometimes.

It was a semi-melted bulb holder

Check your connectors , unplug the wiring and check both parts for corrosion.
I spent an hour last Sunday cleaning mine as I was getting a double flashing indicator , but it returned to normal as soon as I dabbed the brakes.

If the bulbs light up then I would be checking wiring and also if the bulbs are fitted properly.
My rear reg plate bulb did this occassionally. It turned out that the clips holding it in place were too wide so the fastoon bulb was rattling around in them. And then one of the metal caps on the end broke off.
New bulb in, clips narrowed and all is good again

Thanks for everything. It was the front RHS lamp holder. Changed it and all okay funny thing was the bulb was working but the holder must have had enough resistance to fool the computer
Thanks again
