I have these fixings for work:

And thousands of screws lying around including these:

Use some larger diameter washers to increase the surface area
https://www.screwfix.com/p/easyfix-s...100-pack/413ft

I snipped the ends off the plaster board fixings, hammered them in the holes, sprayed the screws liberally with white grease as they are zinc not stainless, and screwed them in. Hopefully the grease will keep the rust off for a couple years and they'll be a lot easier to remove next time. They seem a lot more secure to me.
Brilliant thanks. I’m about to remove all my wheel arch liners soon and need replacement fixings.

Vic,
To be honest if you need to buy some screws, these from toolstation would be better:
https://www.toolstation.com/stainles...i-screw/p90964
though they are a bit more pricey than screwfix, but seeing as I had them left over from another job I used them to save a few quid.

It's a pity they don't do 12ga as they would fit in the undertray-bumper fixings perfectly. The 10ga are a little bit loose and won't quite pinch tight enough.

They also have an A2 washer which I generally havef, but didn't last week.
