Yes but somebody has to do it, apologies that the pictures are out of sequence its the way they uploaded in IMGUR, by out of sequence I mean that where there is a description of a car from the card in front of it the picture of the actual car doesnt follow immediately after but it is there somewhere !

Just like a virtual tour, I must get back down someday to see the latest exhibits.

I went twice last year for events held during April and July, if you've not been for some time it's well worth if for a browse round the Collections Centre and Jaguar Heritage Halls.

This years BL & Leyland show is being held at Gaydon on Sunday the 7th July, maybe an ideal run out for your SD1.

If you are wondering what the monstrosity is on the roof, this car was built with a lot of the latest safety features at the time, one of which was a roof mounted panoramic rear view mirror, up periscope !

Another visit to Gaydon has just moved up my "to do" list.

When I visited the Land Rover development offices at Gaydon about 15 years ago we went across to the museum for lunch - but unfortunately only had time for a quick look around.

Cheers, you're a star.

Oddly enough I was there a few weeks ago with my poorly father in law. His first time and he thoroughly enjoyed it . We only managed about a quarter so we'll be going back soon.

There was a film showing the 1955 Le Mans. One memory we'll have is FIL laughing away when the Triumph TR driver "lost it" and became stuck in the sand. And then said driver proceeded to acquire a spade, dig himself out and finish the race. We're British you know!!!!!

It's a tough job but someone's got to do it .

The red E type as you walk in is such a wonderful thing. And looking at the "concept" cars such as the Rover SD1 estate - where on earth did we go wrong .

Definitely one to put on your list if you haven't been.

Oh, and the cafe is pretty decent too.

Andy.

Excellent photos as usual Rob, I’ve not been to Gaydon since the new building was opened. I remember going 3 times whilst ‘passing’ until the car I wanted to see was on show, I’m guessing the full collection is now on show?
