LHD MG ZR 120 clutch cable
Hi all,
I know this isn't the correct place but I need your help. My left hand drive ZR 120 (PG1 gearbox) needs a new clutch cable. They are no longer available. I've tried oiling it, but that only lastes a week. Does anyone know of any other alternative ? I was thinking HONDA, seeing as the PG1 is a mirrored version of the HONDA box, maybe a RHD civic one might fit ? Pete. |

Hi. Is it a petrol 1.8 LHD? Looking at Rimmers gives me a part number UUC101270. Is this the part? If so there should be available as after market. https://www.euspares.co.uk/parts/oen/uuc101270 would this do?

Yes that is the part number and I have already bought the A.B.S. one and the TRW one and they are both 20 cms too short.

Have you got the length of the cable that fits? Its a bit strange as the data for these cables shows the RHD about 203mm longer than the LHD. The data could be wrong. Have you checked the length of a RHD cable? UUC101260.
Is there a part number on the original cable? Regards John |

The original part number is UUC101270 which measures extremity to extremity of the inner cable 95cms
The TRW and ABS ones both measure 76 cms I haven't measured the length of a rhd one. |

John, I ordered that one from ebay, got it today, it's not what the ad says, he sent me the A.B.S. one that I already have. 200mm too short for the PG1 box. He appologized saying he forgot to change the photo. !!!
So I am back to square one :-( Pete. |
