What brand of MAF sensor? Anything other than Bosch is junk.

Maybe look at getting the manifold cleaned out, clean the MAP sensor separate, also try changing the PVC filter back to the blue sponge one, I have heard of a few with the BMW vortex giving out smoke? also Try reinstating the original EGR after the above.
