BLUTO - The BLUe TOurer
After I sold my 75 tourer earlier in the year I quickly realised that it was the most practical car I've ever owned and I've been pining for another tourer ever since. I sold my Copperleaf 75 via the forum last week and so set about trying to find a suitable tourer to replace it.
I found this rather unloved example, contacted the owner and made a deal to buy it ... all without seeing the car over 200 miles from home , but it was exactly what I was looking for so I was hopeful that all was ok. Saturday ended up being a bit of a blur, driveshaft on the Mini, buyer collecting the Copperleaf 75 followed by a 4hr train ride to get to look at this car at the other end of the country. My backpack was heavy with tools and a booster pack, just to be on the safe side, but none of it was needed as the car once running was absolutely lovely. My wife named the car BLUTO on Sunday after she saw it in the light, but I think it fits rather well ... BLUTO - The BLUe TOurer BLUTO did come with a few problems as he's really not been looked after for the last year.

Always good to see one of our cars get the TLC they deserve. For the life of me, I don't get why some owners abuse them so much. I guess they are blind to the beauty of the 75....philistines !!

Lovely colour. Looks as though it is going to be looked after now. The main problem with unloved cars is the mindset of owners. A lot of people just treat it as a piece of metal. I have one or two people I know like that. They are forever getting them repaired, and it was always someone else who did it.
