Default Highline - Antenna connection where?

Hi Gents,

Second post today

I am replacing the Highline unit in my MG ZT-T mk2 MY05 with an Android unit (NavAll1) and running in a few problems/questions.

I understand that I have to connect the antenna from the back of the car with an extension lead to the front. What I can't seem to find is the place/cable where I should connect the extension wire. I have removed the navigation unit in the boot but find it has a different connector. The extension lead I received with the NavAll 1 has a different connector. Same for the areal feed found on the unit in the spare wheel area (see picture)

Were can I find the areal connector to connect the extension wire to?

Any help greatly appreciated!

Search e-bay for an ISO/DIN or DIN/ISO convertor, they're a couple of quid. If you find it suitable that is.

The radio module is located in the spare wheel well.

The aerial is connector is plug C1235

You may need one of these to convert the plug.

Hi Dave,

Tx! Will have a look in the spare wheel well today and see if I can find the lead.

Found it! Got an adapter DIN/ISO and now I only have to figure the best way to get the extension cable to the unit in the front

If you haven't done this yet, I found the easiest way was to run the antenna cable up the D pillar and underneath the edge of the head lining to the front, down the A pillar and behind the instrument cluster. You have to pull down the door seals and remove the A and D pillar trims to install it - a lot easier than trying to run it with the main harness around floor level. A 5 metre lead will be required if you run into the spare wheel well.

Need to do this myself as well, Naval Star in my case. But instead of running a cable to the back, will use an temporary aerial for FM at the front as in a couple of years no FM stations will be available!

Don't know if naval1 can do DAB, as would recommend installing that as well. Have DAB with my unit, so will be prepared for the radio-future.

I have lead the extension cable along the floor and carefully removed all sil trims. Was a bit of a hassle though.

NavAll 1 does not support DAB+ or DAB (which seems to be deprecated as well). FM will do fine for a few years. After that the NavAll 1 will be almost ten years old and ready to be replaced
