Default 7" vs 9" Navall or XTrons how does the 9" look

Hi,

I am looking to exchange my Navall Eclipse for a New version and have been looking at the 9" version.

I see that it does not fit flush, and the top of the unit sits on the facia, but was wondering if anyone has one and how do you think it looks in the car. The old 7" looks like it should be there, but does the 9" look like a dogs breakfast in the centre console.

Thanks

The 9" does look good, obviously it gives a different appearance where some might say it looks out of place.

But! Many new cars today seem to have this large tablet screen appearance sticking out/up from the dashboard. You only have to look at some of the new KIA's, Fords, Mazda's BMW's, Audi's etc.

How is the glare on these screens, my Navall Eclipse is awful in sunlight.

Personally, I think the 9" looks like it doesn't fit.....square peg & round hole springs to mind!
Only my personal opinion & it does look lovely, just not in our cars.

Jubs has one of his own units mounted in his car. I saw a photo of it somewhere in another thread. You could ask him.

Well, seeing as you asked......I think it looks pretty awful if I'm honest, simply doesn't fit, and if something doesn't fit, it will never look right.

I think the 7" unit looks like it should be there, and as part of an "old Rover" does not attract unwanted attention of low thieving towrags

The bigger unit looks so obviously aftermarket I would be worried about it being left in the car.

Its not just the cost of it being stolen but the damage the do to get in and remove it, and the way insurance companies see 75's I'm sure that would be enough to write it off !
