Default Cubby box problem

The lid for the cubby box between the front seats is annoying me. At times, the lock will not keep the lid shut, but it pops up. I have had a look but can not find anything that would be adjustable?
The cubby box is empty btw.

Does that mean changing the entire box or just the lid?

i think you can just change the lid and the bit inside the box where the lid clicks in to. i think it comes all in one bit

if you open up the holes in the hinge were it attaches to the lid you will find you can adjust the lid so the lock will keep it closed .
I did mine some time ago and it works fine, you only need to open the holes little to allow the lid to move towards the rear of the car.
worth trying before you buy new.

This happened to mine once after the missus decided to swap seats with me but climbed over the box and sitting on it instead of walking around the car ! I wasn't happy as the hinges bent and the box wouldn't lock , however it was a simple job of straightening them back to shape with pliers and i got it to lock perfectly.
