Default MG ZT CDTI Manual X-Power grey - North London **SOLD**

After nearly 6 years of ownership, family sized luggage now means I need a bigger car! Fear not, have just purchased a ZT-T, so the MG bug is still biting hard.

This does mean I have to sadly part with my well cared for ZT. It's an X-Power grey saloon with the 135 diesel engine. Starts every time, thrives on cold mornings and runs well. Pleased to see her go to a good home..

I purchased her from Thomas Day Motors, Fleet in Jan 2009 for £2,300, as they were going under. She was previously a Cat C write off, although had been repaired prior to me buying her. It was an offside crunch, which meant a replacement bumper, bonnet and offside wing. The air bags deployed, so they were all refitted.

I'm based in Barnet, North London, 10mins from J23, M25.

  • Registered Jan 2003
  • 150,500 miles (owned since 55,000) I'm the 5th owner
  • 13 months MoT (just passed today)
  • 6 Disc CD changer and Kenwood stereo
  • Auto dimming rear view mirror
  • Synergy 2 tuning box
  • Half leather, half alcantara seats
  • Reversing sensors
  • Tow bar (never used for towing since I owned the car)
  • PCV zero service filter fitted
  • New clutch, DMF and both fuel pumps replaced
  • Fair all round condition, but well looked after (see below for service history).
Service history

7494 - full service
16730 - full service
28779 - full service
59550 - I first purchased the car, full service
67074 - full service
86155 - full service (new front shock absorbers & engine mount)
102613 - full service
110685 - full service
122828 - full service
130755 - full service (new pollen filter). New discs and pads all round
137500 - new fuel filter, both fuel pumps replaced. New LUK clutch, master/slave cylinder, gearbox oil and DMF.
155000 - 03/12/14 MoT, oil change and air filter. New MAF (fitted by me)

less good bits
  • Reversing sensor a little intermittent
  • Rear tyres lowish (good for MoT)
  • Puff of black smoke under heavy acceleration
  • Little coolant leak leak by elbow into radiator
  • Few small dings and driver side lower trim has pealed
  • Couple of light scuffs on the bumper
£680

if it wasnt running upto xmas, id have snapped it up, i fancy a diesel to use as my commuting car to save putting the miles on my 190!
as i wont have any spare cash til the end of jan, i dont suppose you fancy a swap for a nice mgf? :xmas-smiley-024:

Nope, it's really £625.. It might be worth a little more, but I'd like it sold before Christmas if possible. It's ex-Cat C too, so coupled with the miles and niggles it's a reasonable price and hopefully goes to someone on here..

Just MoT'd her and I'd love to keep her running, but we've just sized down to one car, so sadly I don't have the space or money to have a fleet!

1) Nearside headlamp has a product on the lens, but not seriously reducing light output. I suspect this is just the slight yellowing of the lense - never picked up by the MoT before!

2) Both radius arm rubber bush has deteriorated, but no excessive movement.

3) Offside rear coil spring corroded

4) Both rear tyres worn close to legal limit

5) Rear exhaust has a minor leak of exhaust gases.

And that's it - nothing too major, I suspect the tyres need replacing in the next 6 months or so. The nearside rear coil spring was recently replaced

Worth every penny, looks to have the rare and desirable black Alcantara interior as well

Good luck with the sale
