Cool

Morning Rod and everyone else.

Lots of rain and high winds yesterday but seems to have calmed down a lot now.
Looks damp out.

Homeward bound today.

Afternoon, no visible frost this morning but the ground is rock hard, and water is freezing on windows of porches and conservatories, if no heating on inside.

Funny old mix of weather today, sleet, rain, sun and wind so far.
The mercury is set to plummit tonight
I won't be venturing out apart from picking up some dinner to eat on board.
I'll save the Bridge Inn till next week when the old man will be with me as well.......Hint, hint for any of you guys that fancy meeting up

Yellow warning for snow, ice etc up here starting in the early hours, in theory the worst of it will be west of here but the edge of the warning area is worryingly close.

Spent all day starting to clear out my sister's bungalow. Although it may seem callous to some to be doing so before the funeral, it seems quite cathartic - so many things bring back happy memories. It turns out she was quite a hoarder too - local cancer charities are going to receive some substantial supplies of good quality clothing - much of it virtually unworn.

Not callous at all Rod, it has to be done sometime, so may as well get on with it. When my dad passed away, we started clearing the flat after 2 days,as it was rented, and we wanted it done before Xmas, and not drag in to the following month. The landlord was decent, and said if we went over the end of the month by a few days, it would be ok, but if it took a week or more, he would just charge us for a week at a time. We had it done 3 days before Xmas.

Evening all, by heck It's gone cold out there. just be to put the wheelie bin out & I'm frozen, looks like we'll be getting snow overnight according to the weather forecast for here.

We've had roast pork new potatoes, cabbage, cauliflower & sweetcorn for tea tonight. I'm stuffed.

Has to be done Rod and better done now when you are in the mood for it rather than putting it off.
