Power Steering Reservoir Noise?
Had the bonnet up today doing an oil change and had my daughter switched on the engine, without starting it, to listen to the under bonnet fuel pump while I was there. I noticed a sort of hissing noise coming from the power steering reservoir and this was confirmed by my daughter.
So engine off, steering wheel not being touched but a noise. Checked the fluid level and it was just over half way between the marks. Any ideas? |

Fuel going through the HP engine driven fuel pump.
It sits underneath the power steering pump. |

That's a good question. I've heard it on Mrs Noc's Facelift diesel, but not on my year 2000 car. They both run fine, so in itself, I don't see it as a problem.
Have yet to see it mentioned on the forum as a problem either. |
