If you can find an alloy manifold, so much better and shouldn't leak again

wow, pretty cool. What did you do on the air intake side? does the exhaust etc have to be modified with that air intake?
Which car is your manifold from? does it just go straight on? |

Suzublu, could I have details of the air filter and tubes you used? Does it make much difference in power/sound?

My advice would be to keep the Standard Airbox and fit a K&N Panel filter (there are no issues running this on a 1.8t) i feel there IS an improvement and it sounds nice too - especially with the Alloy Inlet Manifold Ron's (Suzublu) Car is a non Turbo k-series so the plumbing is a bit different - I'm sure there are 1.8t options available if you prefer a "Hot Air" Intake with a Pod Filter tho Paul. |

Having the air filter in the engine bay only creates a go faster noise. Sucking in hot air from the engine bay reduces power, better with denser cold air for performance., ie as the manufacturer designed it.

Thanks for the info. I don't think fitting an alloy IM is just a straight bolt on affair also? after doing some reading it seems there are quite a few mods and a few complications with bolts and fitting the fuel lines etc?

Or use the alloy injectors ? Pete. |
