Default This is why I hand clean my Rover.....

Decided to give the old girl a good clean today, after all it's got a couple of months of british weather plastered all over her..... Took me 3 hours, this included all the trims and gully's,wheel hubs cleaned ... looking good..... I do know that on the roof on the rear nearside corner I have a little bit of bubbly rust, noticed it when I bought the car a year ago.... but whilst cleaning I noticed a very small crack between two rust bubbles. Have found out my Capt.Tolley's and after the school run this afternoon will be applying.
God knows what would have happened if a jet wash was used on that area, hence my forever stance on always hand clean the car.

Done an interior valet last weekend, outside valet today bearing in mind I have to do the school run in the afternoon, but done it all in 3 hours... I don't have a break, 180 minutes of condensed valeting

Yup, done all the door jams too, not forgetting boot lid (inside) found couple scuffs didn't realise I had despite parking car well away from pedestrian routes in car parks, always get some dumb muppet walking between the cars with a multitude of bags flailing about on their arms.

I only do a 'contactless wash' now to eliminate swirls etc,the car had a full decontamination n paint correction a while ago,no need to 'hand wash' mine for the foreseeable future, all it gets now is a snow foam n rinse off with a pressure washer at my pals garage, paint work is smooth as silk n want to keep it that way.

I use VIM and Brillo pads, it really does what it says on the tin, unlike Flash which claims to "clean fast without scratching" according to Molly Weir.
