front drivers side light fault
hi guys need some help,,my drivers side front sidelight has gone out i have put a new bulb in even though the old bulb was not blown,it started when the bulb icon was coming on and off intermitenly on the dashboard,,now it on all the time,,all other lights on the car are working fine,,i dont know if i have a broken wire anywhere,,the wires going into the bulb holder seem fine and clean,,how can i check, or any tips what it might be,,regards james

Check the wiring loom where it crosses the main front beam on the passenger side for fraying or water in the tape windings.
do all other bulbs in that cluster work ok..? if not check the earthing points as well. finally make and replug the headlamp main connector and the same for the light switch module, check for dirty / corroded contacts or water ingress. K

Jim have you metered the cables or just done a visual check?
I'd agree with Pete that it is likely a wiring fault, and this should be thoroughly checked out first. |

thanks for reply mike,,i have only done a visual check,,i will go and take tbe bulb out and check i have power and check the earth in the bulb holder,,thats about all i know mike about electrics,,, everything else is perfect on the car,,cars only done 55,000 and is 2003 diesel...
