I rang pektron when I saw the label on my last retrofit. Wish I'd taken all the kit off the last car.

Either ecu is fine. I would have thought you'd get by without bothering to code unless you are still putting your car into MGR's greedy hands for servicing.

Roverspares have an ecu which he said £50 for.... he took so long to bother to get back to me (and I only paid £25 for my last one - dont pay too much!) so told him it was too expensive. It may still be there if you can be bothered to try and get him to sell it you!

Bracket is only £5 from xpart

Best route for the switches is the new black wheels with both buttons that les had for £25... dont know if there are any left. Now I've got one here, I think the Rover black leather wheels look classier than the perforated ZT ones.

Don't forget the steering wheel switches, or do you have them already?

If it's for the whole lot: Steering wheel switches, ECU, Bracket and Master switch I don't think £90 is too far off the mark.

Think I paid including postage about £80 last year and that was with another member selling me an ecu for a reasonable price.

Thanks lads.

The £95 is for the ecu, switch and bracket. I already have the steering controls.

ikorodu beat me to a switch that Les had, so I'm still looking .

Pondweed are you retrofitting cruise to your ZT-T?

Seems a good deal on the steering wheel with switches, I paid more than that for the switches alone secondhand.

yup!.... and yup. I dont think they cost too much from X part... £35?

if you have a look and he hasnt got any left, people, there are some ghastly new green wheels still at £35 from Z Warehouse I think. But with a tenner on top for post, its a bit steep and you are left wondering what to do with a new green wheel....after youve raided the switches.

Anyone want a nice perforated ZT wheel?

p.s. the big problem with s/h ecus is (a) they might easily be flooded damaged, or just smacked around a bit by peoples feel in the passenger side. And (b) they might be TD4 ones, which no-one had actually tried yet retrofitting, I think? (if anyone has, let us know!)

Sorry about that! Saw it and thought I'd make a start on collecting the bits. I have a bid in on ebay for an ecu as well, and also thought that one of the cheap steering wheel seemed a good way to get the switches for the wheel.

Not checked for the loom as yet, so they may all end up being re-sold and ebay anyway. Will try to have a look for the loom at the weekend.

I've sent you a PM, Rob, as I am watching an ECU also.

No point in bidding against each other.

What's this about codes?

Ive got a Conn SE with cruise that does not work - still trying to find the switch on the clutch.

If I do fit a new ECU does it require programming with the codes or will it function correctly without?
