Is this the cruise control ECU plug?
As per the title:
What limited CC will I get without the ZCS codes. I understand these codes are difficult to obtain.

Hello There!
Not sure if thats the one, but I'm sure someone will be able to help. I am interested in a retro fit too, if I have the loom. EDIT found these datails on the connector: C0895 Cruise control interface unit (CCIU), located behind glove box in fuse box compartment Black female rectangular connector with 12 cavities and 9 wires (Black, Red/light green, Light green/red, Yellow/black (x2), Yellow/brown, Yellow/black, blue/orange, Yellow/blue, and Brown (in pins 1 to 9 respectively)) from this page. As for how it works without the ZCS codes a chap over on .org has done the retro fit and posted they operation he gets from it without the codes. You'll need to search for "cruise control retrofit" in the rover 75 section of the .org forum site. Its the first thread returned by the search and is titled "Rover 75 Cdt cruise control retrofit ". It sounds quite usable without getting the ZCS from what the chap has posted. Rob Last edited by ikorodu; 3rd April 2008 at 12:25.. Reason: Added more detail on connector |

Cdti, that looks like the one, double check the wiring just to be sure, but I'm certain that's it. Any problems, or if you want more info let me know. Russ

I think a second hand ECU will do, but maybe Russ could clarify?

Hi, yes second hand ones do work, but I don't know if it affects if you can then get the dreaded codes applied or if a new one is required to enable coding.
(can't remember now, maybe worth a trawl through the threads on it) New ones if I remember correctly are in the region of £120-£140 Personally I would get a second hand one to get your cruise up and running then if you want it coded and a new ecu is required, you would certainly get your money back on the second hand one as cruise ecu's are always in demand. New ECUs are about £80 here: http://www.pektronspares.co.uk/a-054...function=TERMS (dunno if VAT is included in that price)
I just got a response from The Parts Gateway to a query I sent and I can get the full kit i.e. ECU, switch and bracket for about £95 delivered. Seems a bit on the expensive side if a new ECU is £80.

The price I quoted was from a Rover dealer last year, didn't realise Plektron made the ecu otherwise would have checked there.
Don't forget the steering wheel switches, or do you have them already? If it's for the whole lot: Steering wheel switches, ECU, Bracket and Master switch I don't think £90 is too far off the mark. Think I paid including postage about £80 last year and that was with another member selling me an ecu for a reasonable price. Russ
