When most Supermarkets will deliver for as little as £5, why do people still put themselves in these situations?

OK, at the moment the mirror is being held on by what can best be described as a gaffer tape carbuncle! I'd like to do something that's at least aesthetically better but to do that I need the mirror off the car. I know the mounting is secured by three nuts under the trim, how do you get the trim off to get at the nuts?

At the end of the day it all boils down to how selfish and inconsiderate society in general has become, it is the same everywhere, you can park on Mars, some moron will still damage your property, we were recently in Skipton, and my rear door was damaged by a moronic individual who parked her car so close to mine that was impossible for her to get out without causing damage but she still insisted on trying, when challenged she said well I thought I will be alright, what can you say, brain dead!!!!.

Take out the self tapper in the recess of the door card, this will allow you to pull it outwards slightly, grab the trim just below the tweeter and pull gently, it will come away, remove tweeter wires and you should have enough room to get at the bolts!

Thanks Andy. I found Parkers repair which I might be able to do with the mirror in place depending on the weather. To be honest the duck tape would probably do til I get the powerfolds but it looks hideous!

Whilst I was in the shop, some Retard in a badly beaten up old 3 series parked at an angle, almost touching the rear corner of my car. They werent even disabled. Shocking. It's just laziness and lack of consideration for others.

Sorry to hear about the damage. Many of us have had similar experiences. It's infuriating.

1. Home shopping pickers don't care what they pick for you (lower quality fruit & veg, meat/poultry with a very short shelf life, etc) 2. You often find several items you ordered were not in stock, so you have to go to the shop anyway (or it's pot luck with the substituted items) 3. You won't be able to pick up any last minute reduction bargains on anything 4. Not everyone can be at home during delivery hours Etc. |

Things like bread, is normally fresher when delivered, instead of having to rave all the bread off the shelves, just to get a fresh loaf from the back of the display! Substituted items are usually of a higher quality than those 1st picked, true you don't get to pick anything from the "last day" counter, but there is normally a reason why no one's bought it before now! And if no one is home between 10 am and 10 pm, you need to get another job! If you then take petrol and possible damage costs into consideration, it's a no brainer! But each to their own! |
