Default ZT 2.0 CDTI Hesitation

Hi all

Noticed this happening this last week or so, getting a hesitation/slight miss when hitting around 2000 revs, any ideas on this? Also is putting out quite a lot of black smoke when accelerating or when engine is under load?

Have read another thread, and think having the EGR cleaned may help, I did clean it when I bought it 4 years/ 60,000 miles so may need it again.

I would agree with this post, the checks for leaking intercooler seals would be favourite in my book, can you hear any wheezing from the passenger side when powering up with the passenger window open?
Also have a feel around the intercooler hose down behind & beneath the headlamp housing, If it is very messy oily and wet, I would advise a pair of new viton intercooler seals be fitted.
