Two Electrical Niggles with our new Connie.

Firstly, the mirrors. The two side-selector buttons light up but the adjuster switch does nothing. Is it on the same supply as the selectors?
Secondly, the fuel gauge only gives a true reading when the ignition is switched on. It then stays where it is until the car is switched off. When you turn on again it will give you the actual reading. So no real-time level while you're driving.
The low-level warning illuminates on switch-on & supposedly does in use too though as yet l can't confirm that.

The mirror/window switchpack connections need cleaning, very simple fix. Use the "Google Search" feature at the top of the forum list

Have you tried a battery reset ?

Aside from cleaning the switch unit try a squirt of WD40 behind the mirror glass. Don't think anyone ever adjusted the mirrors on my last 75, so the motors needed a bit of freeing up.

I'll give that a shot too, thanks. The PO said he'd never needed to move them either. TBH, they're just about right for me too but I like everything to work as it should.

Be sure you have your radio code somewhere (for some types)
Simply,disconnect the battery negative terminal ,have a cup of tea
then reconnect....

The radio code is written on the information cards, l think.
I take it this is simply a Rover reboot.

sort of its a re learning stage really the car will then leanr what is connected to the car and show them as they should be .its not a reset
