That doesn't sound right - I can't remember what colour I used, but it's switched live on the ISO connector. It then powers up a relay that powers all kinds of stuff without issue, only when the ignition is on.

The Purple/Yellow should be in pin 5 of the power ISO connector. Pin 5 is the ISO standard configuration for the switched 12v output.

Possibly a problem with the stereo.
