Default Clutch recommendation wanted Sussex or Banbury

Sorry, pls ignore the other thread I had another idea, car will be parked up near Banbury next week so could be done near home or there.

It often won't go into gear when the engine's running and snatches or won't disengage after putting it in with the engine off, with 160000 on the clock I'm not surprised that it's had enough!

Local garage say £900 for new clutch and hydraulics excluding DMF, a recommendation of someone with 75/ZT experience who can fix it would be good partly to be cheaper and partly if it's not clutch there's no point replacing it.

Thanks

John

Cool

MJSAUTOANDMARINE.CO.UK are fully mobile, but do have a workshop in Littlehampton Sussex. Pity the car is now in Banbury but contact Mike Stafford at MJS as he might still be able to help.

Mike has looked after all my cars over the last 6 years.

Thanks, I'll try them - it's still in Brighton this week, I'm going to Banbury next week.

I live in Banbury! 😁
To be honest there's no one round here that I would go to, they all quoted me silly prices for a clutch on my old 190. The nearest decent places I can think of is Phil Davies in Milton Keynes, he quoted £450 to supply and fit clutch and slave, or Gavin at mgrover repair in ryton.
Personally if you want it done round this way id suggest going to see Phil. What he doesnt know about these cars isn't worth knowing!
