I was placed in a difficult position so I gave up work early after relieving my former employer of some of his hard earned.

I was on 55 and relied on a basic incapacity benefit which the government managed to take away from me leaving me with absolutely nothing to keep myself for 2 1/2 years.

Luckily I had two pensions so at 65 and now getting the state pension I also cashed in my other two over two years to avoid paying too much tax.

Back then at 55 I thought I would be bored silly but now aproaching 67 there's simply not enough hours in the day.

Enjoy it Stu life's just beginning.

Good move Stu. I took voluntary early retirement when I was 53 (5 years ago now) and don't regret it one little bit. Your time is your own, and that more than makes up for any drop in income.
