I would use the adjustment brush in Lightroom to raise the shadows in the eyes. Maybe shift the colour of the whole pic to blue and red (Magenta) a smidgy bit.

I usually try to fix in Lightroom and if heavier editing is needed I head to Photoshop, but not often.

It must be great to have a model to work with. All my stuff (birds, insects, horses etc.) just does what it wants.

I might be tempted to clone out the railing too to see if it isolates the subject more. Its not distracting though as DoF has softened it out.
Hi Alan,

I have indeed adjusted the eyes but to my eyes (see what I did there) they look best in the final edit I posted.

Don't want to clone the railings as the whole point of the shoot was photos from Walton Pier and trying to capture a sense of the place.......Which should have meant lots of candy floss, bright lights of the fair and all that stuff. In reality all the rides and concessions were closed as the pier has just changed hands and nothing was up and running

Hi Paul,

Eyes have been edited Sir, I use the iris adjustment tool within Lightroom and adjust from there.

I have left them where they are as I am happy with the result
