Default Navall3 Problems

Good Afternoon All,

Suddenly my Navall3 has decided to start rebooting every few minutes, most frustrrating when listening to music and even more so when using the satnav in unfamiliar territory.

Any suggestions please?

Tom.

I know this is no help but mine has done this for a while now .
then it will work for week ok then it starts again.
this past week its started doing a sort of reboot again.

mine will do a half reboot .
by this I mean screen goes off then I get the screen that you get when you start up.
but whatever I was playing stays on all the time .
once its gone though its reboot . I always lose settings . as in igo has to be reinstalled , the clock on the home screen has to be put back on , external mic for the phone has to be switched back on . google store and email settings have to be redone .
and so far not found out why it does this . have tried a few things but as yet no luck in finding out why.

Hi Tom , I Agree , Please do a hard reboot, sounds like something with Firmware . Have you downloaded any new APPS recently?

Hi Sean,

I did a 45 minute battery reset this morning and so far so good although I have only done one very short journey to date.

Will keep you posted.

Regards

Tom.

KernowRover.

what extras have you got on yours . as in dab or cameras .

Radioguy .

if he is having the same fault as I get on mine its a right pain to find out what is the problem as its so intermittent .
yesterday radio did a what I call a half reset on its own.
so did a full reset . now today its been ok .
I'm thinking on mine it may be something to do with the reversing camera .
my thinking is this .
you start the car up and the radio is booting up.
you put the car into reverse that puts the screen up the radio .
but because the radio is still in boot up mode it plays up.

we will get there at some point .

Hi Steve the only extras I have on mine is a reversing camera and a subwoofer.

The subwoofer was added about a month ago but the camera has been on my last 3 head units.

I have had the head unit for about a year now but this problem has only started in the last week or so.

Regards

Tom.

camera is the only thing in common then.
my nav3 has been in two cars now and had the same fault with both cars.
may be worth a try is to wait till the radio has finished booting up before you do anything like revering .
same as you not put any new apps on the radio and its some thing that only happens now and again .

I will definitely try no reversing until the head unit has completed the boot up process.

Regards

Tom

This is not meant to only you, but to all Navall owners. I remember reading in the instructions when I got the unit, that it should be powered down before turning the car off.
If we don't do this, is this having a detrimental effect on the system?
I know that I am quite particular about doing the proper shutdown on my Navall 3, and wil be doing the same when I install my Star unit.
Cheers,
Graeme
