It will be the later type reg pack then. Check the slip rings though as 90% of the time they have deep worn grooves and not worth doing.

I changed my regulator last week with one from drmgr 2pin type 53 plate my alternator had no label on it. It had 2 fixings at 9 &3 o'clock holding outer cover on 7mm 30 mm long bolts. And 3 x 7mm bolts 25 mm long holding the regulator in place. When I removed old one it was stamped valeo and dated 2002 every thing else regards swap as original post. Ps don't forget to put the supplied small plastic cover over the brushes when you have removed the hold back insert. I didn't and had to dismantle again when I found it in the box when I was tidying up. All is working as it should now. A little tip. Put some tape over the bolts onto the socket to stop it falling of .when the bolt is part in pull tape of and tighten up. Good luck all the best chris

Replaced regulator with the one that Howard sent, so far so good.....Thanks Howard

Did you inspect the depth of the wear groove in both slip rings?
