Windows 10 Creators Update - desktop icons
I'd never been able to use system restore since I got a Windows 10 laptop last Autumn, and after trying many fixes, decided to download and install "Windows 10 Creators Update" a few weeks ago, as it promised to fix it
As it happens, it did fix it, but also introduced a new issue, namely that my desktop icons now rearrange themselves on a random basis, usually around once a week, but sometimes on each new boot up It's annoying, as until I drag them all back to where they were, it's a bit like getting in your car and finding all the switches have been swapped around! I've Googled it a lot and not found any definite fix, so am thinking about using a 3rd party app to "memorise" my desktop icons so I can easily restore them when they get moved. Does anyone know of such a thing which I can download safely? I've found a few possibilities, but don't want to risk downloading/using anything dodgy! Thanks in advance!
