Default Retrofit Fog Light Kits - Are they still available?

Evening all,

When I first bought my 75 a few years ago I looked into retrofitting fog lights and there were full (possibly official MG Rover) kits still available new fi I remember correctly.

Does anyone know if one can still get hold of these kits anywhere as I would like to add these.

My 75 is a 2006-registered facelift if that has any bearing on what kit is required.

Thanks in advance as always.

Rhys

2006, these fog lights fit directly to the front bumper.
There are two possible wiring harnesses. One is what would probably have been fitted when the car left the factory with fog lights and the second, still a Rover product is for retro fit and is slightly different. I doubt the original fit factory is available

is item 3 correct? https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-GRID001522 shows at no longer available but if it is correct at least you have the right part number

I cant recall if you need to change the LSM (light switch module) by your right need or just the switch facia so it has the front fog light switch.

You only need the front switch assembly (with the split front/rear fogs button). This unit has a ribbon cable which connects it the the electronic control/LSM, located deeper back. Split button switch units are regularly listed on eBay.

Fifteen years ago, I fitted a Mk1 fog lamps kit to my facelift 75. The Mk1 lamps are slightly different from Mk2 lamps, so I had to improvise on the rear side of the bumper. This involved cutting away some plastic on the mounting sites to make clearance. They are screwed on from the rear side in the Mk2. Otherwise the kit was fitted as described in the instruction leaflet that came with the kit. The Mk2 doesn't use the surrounds/inserts shown for the Mk1.

Here's the instructions:
