Default Earthing stud

Siting in the passenger seat, where exactly would the earring stud be?
I don't really want to be blindly pulling carpets up.

There are a few at the bottom of the 'A' pillar on both sides. There was once an issue where the factory had cross threaded some of them too

Assume that "A" pillar is footwell ? Same as "A" panel on the original minis ?

Yes, remove the small panel and you will see them. The drivers side one goes around the bonnet pull lever
