Default Fault scanner at Haynes meet.

Assuming that I do make it to the meet - I'm just laid up with a severe attack of gout and I'm very stroppy - I will bring along my Sykes-Pickavent scanner. So if anyone wants a quick read-off you will be quite welcome.

It cannot do the things T4 can, but it will read engine faults, ABS etc.
No charge, but if you take advantage and think it's worthwhile then maybe a small donation to the club?

How to recognise me? I don't know, I shall be in a Rover 75 if that's a clue!

Very kind Bernard, get well soon. I had a bout of gout a year and as you'll know, it's not much fun at all.

Yes Please Bernard

The engine has been sounding a bit 'rough' lately, especially compared to the td5 in my landrover.
It would be helpful if the fault codes could be read
then again it may be just my imagination

If you are swamped with requests at the meet maybe I could drop by to see you sometime as you are only a few miles up the road

Hope the ailment improves,

Andy

Bernard, you may wish to identify yourself to us when you arrive ... or better still use a very big red cardboard arrow stuck onto the roof of your car so we know who/ where you are

Bernard I don't mean to sound like a kill Joy but don't let your offer take over your day.

DeeCee brought his ACR4 to Eden and he was somewhat swamped with people so could I suggest you say you will be available between certain times only so you have time to enjoy the day.

I thought about taking my T4 but I very quickly ruled it out it needs a mains supply for starters plus each session I do with it tends to take about 30 minutes so it is just not practical at the current type of venues we are using.

Surely you must know them already! My wife has an in-built scanner and found my many faults years ago.
