West Midlands Convoy enroute to Haynes?
I have lost track of who is going from my neck of the Woods
Jamie (biker in a suit) a few weeks ago suggested meeting up on route probably around the end of the M54 and then picking people up along the M5 etc on the way Strictly within speed limits etc John (Salop75) and I did the same going to Eden last year which was sort of fun even though I spat a Squirrel out at him on the way (alledgedly) any takers? PM me (or Jamie), if I don't reply to this thread, work has gone bonkers so I am not on the forum much at the moment. Last edited by Keith; 28th February 2007 at 16:53.. I Suppose we ought to bounce a few facts and figures together if this is to work
Meet starts at 10:30 Distance from my place is 180 miles if I leave at 07:00 I will be joining the M6/M5 around 08:15 to 08:30 so in theory that means we should be navigating around Bristol around 10:00 aiming to get to the meet at 11:00 So that gives people an idea of when and where I expect to be, we can obviously adjust to meet/catch up with people as necessary. I don't use the M5 much are there any sensible meeting places or services at the top end and then further along the M5? ditto the A37? I notice from Autoroute the route is M5 > M4 > M32 > A37 taking in a fair bit of central Bristol ring roads, can anyone local advise on traffic? |

I don't know the area, but as I'm travelling from Leicester, it would be great to meet up somewhere en route. Also I can then just follow someone else and not have to navigate.

Strensham Services, Southbound between J7 and J8 of the M5?
Would that be a suitable first meet and comfort break point? |

I will go by the M5, was thinking of taking the A46 to join it at Tewkesbury. But I can fit round any plans.

Not that it should effect many but avoid London to Luton end of M1 it is Awful. The Road works are causing Massive problems near Luton Airport where they are Widdening the Carriage Ways. The Speed Limit is 40MPH and is an Average speed camera monitored area. So Please be careful out there.

Actually, my wife is flying to her mum and dads in France with the kids on the same day. They're flying from Luton, and because of the roadworks are going by train. If I have a huge grin on my face on the 18th, it's not just cos I'm seeing you lot, but cos I'm free for a whole week. Huzzars!
